Course Description

Introduces Demand Control-Schema as a decision-making framework. Discusses the underlying process of analyzing scenarios and making ethical decisions.

Intended Outcomes for the course

Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able to:

  1. Describe and analyze given interpreting scenarios using Demand Control-Schema.

  2. Describe common demands and controls used within the field of interpreting.

  3. Make decisions by applying Demand-Control Schema to given scenarios. 

Course Activities and Design

Activities include readings, lectures, student-led discussions, and analysis of given scenarios.

Outcome Assessment Strategies

Students will be evaluated through homework assignments and assessments.
