Course Description

Introduces theory of effective addiction group counseling. Includes strategies for group development and for effective group leader facilitation. Taught completely in Spanish. Audit available.

Intended Outcomes for the course

Upon completion of the course students should be able to:

  1. Implement effective addiction counseling strategies for group facilitation.
  2. Identify the characteristics of an effective group facilitator.
  3. Define types and stages of groups development
  4. Describe effective group involvement.
