Course Description

Introduces theory of effective addiction group counseling. Includes strategies for group development and for effective group leader facilitation. Taught completely in Spanish. Prerequisites: AD 120E, AD 121E, and AD 122E. Audit available.

Intended Outcomes for the course

Upon completion of the course students should be able to:

  1. Implement effective addiction counseling strategies for group facilitation.
  2. Identify the characteristics of an effective group facilitator.
  3. Define types and stages of groups development
  4. Describe effective group involvement.
