Rock Creek Library renovation: completed summer 2025
The newly renovated Rock Creek Library now offers a dynamic and flexible environment designed to support a wide range of student needs. In response to evolving study habits and learning styles, the library features designated zones for quiet study, collaborative work, family-friendly use, and “hum zones” for quiet conversation. These updates align with the design standards across all PCC campus libraries, ensuring a consistent and inclusive student experience districtwide.
As part of the renovation, the library’s Student Computing Center (SCC) has been redesigned to improve efficiency and accessibility. Students can now access research tools, complete coursework, and receive hands-on support from knowledgeable staff in a more streamlined and student-focused environment.
The refreshed space also includes improved lighting, modern finishes, and comfortable new furniture, all designed to create a welcoming and supportive setting for every visitor.
