The SBNC team is committed to our core mission of addressing student basic needs insecurity while providing a welcoming and accessible space for PCC students to access peer-to-peer support, build skills, share knowledge, and connect in community.
Kendi Esary (she/her)
Program Dean, Student Basic Needs
Kendi oversees efforts to reduce basic needs insecurity among PCC students and increase access to support resources more broadly.
Chelsea Kimmett (she/her)
Coordinator, Basic Needs Sustainability and Leadership
Chelsea coordinates the student leadership program and services run out the Student Basic Needs Centers, with a focus on food distribution and environmental justice.
Tammy Dowd Shearer (she/her)
Coordinator, Student Basic Needs
Tammy coordinates the Peer Navigator internship program and services provided in the Basic Needs Hubs. She also works to develop and facilitate campus and community partnerships.


Mina Mahdian (she/her)
Basic Needs Navigator
Mina connects PCC students with food, housing, childcare, and financial resources to support their success and well-being.
Amber Fultz (she/her)
Program Specialist, Student Basic Needs
Amber supports students and staff in the Basic Needs Center at the Southeast campus. She organizes pantry volunteers and facilitates the Bike, Panther Snack, and Emergency Meal Voucher programs.
Ashley Hansen (she/her)
Program Specialist, Student Basic Needs
Ashley supports students and staff in the Basic Needs Center at the Cascade campus. She also provides administrative support for the Basic Needs department.
Kaleigh Brown (she/her)
Program Specialist, Student Basic Needs
Kaleigh supports students and staff in the Basic Needs Center at the Rock Creek campus. She also provides support for SBNC events and programs.
Ted Walker (he/him)
Program Specialist, Student Basic Needs
Ted supports students and staff in the Basic Needs Center at the Sylvania campus. He also provides support for SBNC events and programs.
