Faculty Introductions

A faculty introduction is a chance to give your online students a sense of what you look and sound like as well as a sense of your personality. Many faculty decide to create one single generic introduction that can work for all of the classes they teach while others create a specific intro for each course. Either way, it’s advisable to leave nuts and bolts information about a course out, using the video primarily as an introduction to you as a person.

If you survey the examples in the playlist below, you might notice that most of them are recorded on-location at PCC while a couple were recorded in the studio. Some faculty opt to not record video of themselves at all, relying instead on voice and still images as George Gray does for his introduction.
