Portland Community College

Introduction
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is an independent, non-sectarian, non-profit, coeducational university with a history dating back to the early days of aviation. The University serves culturally diverse students motivated towards careers in aviation and aerospace. Residential campuses in Daytona Beach, Florida, and Prescott, Arizona, provide education in a traditional setting, while an extensive network of Worldwide campuses throughout the United States and abroad serve civilian and military working adults.
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees. Portland Community College is not accredited by SACS Commission on Colleges and the accreditation of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University does not extend to or include Portland Community College or its students. Further, although Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University agrees to accept certain course work from Portland Community College to be applied toward an award from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, that course work may not be accepted by other colleges or universities in transfer, even if it appears on a transcript from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. The decision to accept course work in transfer from any institution is made by the institution considering the acceptance of credits or course work.
Worldwide seeks to be the provider of choice for academic degree and certificate programs, corporate training, and professional development services to working professionals and their employers in the aerospace and aviation industries. As a student-centered campus, we accomplish our mission by effectively developing, delivering, and continually assessing high-quality, high-demand, and highly relevant degree and non-degree professional programs through face-to-face traditional classroom instruction and through synchronous/asynchronous interactive online delivery. In so doing, we enable professional working adult learners to advance their personal and career goals in ways that meet their needs regardless of geographic location or the constraints of time. Embry-Riddle Worldwide operates under the direction of John R. Watret, Ph.D., Executive Vice President & Chief Academic Officer.
The size and geographic dispersion of the University coupled with a faculty that places teaching as their foremost activity, insures small class sizes and the opportunity for ample interaction between faculty and students.
It is the purpose of ERAU is to provide a comprehensive education to prepare graduates for productive careers and responsible citizenship with special emphasis on the needs of aviation, aerospace, engineering and related fields.
Articulation Agreements between ERAU – Worldwide and Portland Community College are designed to facilitate the transfer of students. Students who are intending to make the transfer under these programs, and others who might be advising those students should use this Articulation Agreement.
To be considered for admission, students transferring to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University – Worldwide must have earned at least a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.0 for all institutions attended to be considered for admission.
Even though transfer credit is awarded for a specific ERAU course as part of the Articulation, no assumption may be made that credit is awarded for any prerequisite course(s) to the ERAU course unless it is (they are) specifically part of this Articulation. A grade of “C” or better is required to be accepted as transfer credit.
It is important that the transfer student provide official transcripts as soon as possible for the timely evaluation of transfer credit. This process must be completed before actual enrollment in the University degree program.
All programs and courses listed in the ERAU catalog are not available at every Worldwide Campus or online.
All approvals to use the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University- Worldwide name or logo will be granted via written authorization from the Worldwide Campus Marketing Department. The request must be specific as to how the name and/or logo will be used and include the time period. Where appropriate, a design concept showing the proposed use of the logo should also be submitted. Upon approval, Worldwide Marketing conditionally authorizes the partner to use and display the Embry-Riddle Worldwide name and/or logo only in the manner and for the limited purpose specified in the request as approved by Worldwide Marketing. Requests should be submitted to wwmktg@erau.edu or (386)323-8673.
The Transfer Tables accompanying this agreement show the optimal transfer for courses that are required for the AAS Degrees in Aviation Maintenance Technology, Aviation Science-Airplane and Aviation Science -Helicopter, and include specific recommendations for courses used to satisfy the General Education requirements for those AAS degrees. Students may transfer additional PCC courses into ERAU (up to a maximum of 90 semester credits), as long as they are equivalent to the stated requirements for the BSA at ERAU. See Equivalency table.
Where course requirements are fulfilled by transfer courses of somewhat fewer credits (e.g., 2.7 credits in transfer for a 3 credit requirement) the additional credits may be combined and fulfilled by additional general Education Electives, or Program Support/Open electives.

Articulation Agreement Enrollment Form
The primary purpose of an articulation agreement is to assure that coursework taken at another institution will transfer to ERAU and satisfy specified degree requirements. The student becomes subject to the requirements of the curriculum in the specified catalog at the time of enrollment designated by the date of the signature affixed by the Institution Representative below and is assured that courses taken will apply even though the curriculum may have undergone significant change prior to the student’s actual enrollment at the University. Please review the articulation agreement prior to completing the enrollment form.

Upon completion of this form, the student will be enrolled in the articulation agreement between Portland Community College and ERAU – Worldwide (ERAU). A copy of the completed Articulation Agreement Enrollment Form MUST accompany the Application for Admission to ERAU. ERAU recommends this process be completed no more than one year before intended enrollment at ERAU as admission applications are only valid for one year. Students must adhere to admissions and continuous enrollment policies listed in the ERAU catalog. Students will be limited to 12 credit hours of ERAU coursework from time of application until they are fully admitted into the University – exceptions may be permitted on a case-by-case basis. Applicants meeting admission criteria based upon their cumulative GPA at the time of application will be admitted conditionally. Students intending to complete an associate’s degree with their primary institution should not take courses with ERAU until completion of the primary institution degree program. Applicants must be within 24 hours of their degree program at their primary institution to be eligible.
Once accepted, the student will be subject to the rules and regulations of ERAU. Until completion of the application process, the student will be admitted conditionally contingent upon a CGPA of 2.0 or better for all college level coursework.
Upon completion of all transferable coursework under the articulation, submission of all final transcripts from all colleges attended demonstrating a CGPA of 2.0 or better will complete the application process and allow the student to continue in the ERAU four year program. At such time, only those classes with a grade of “C” or better that are applicable to ERAU’s program will be accepted and ERAU will become the official school for financial aid and/or veteran’s benefits.
