Welcome!
About Me
I am an Academic Advising Specialist with about twenty-five years of experience working with college students. I’ve worked as a c
redential evaluator, an admissions advisor, student services coordinator, and in my wheelhouse, as an academic advisor. I earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, economics and political science at Eastern Oregon University and a Master of Education in Student Affairs Administration at Western Washington University. I live in Washington County with my husband and two dogs. We love the outdoors, particularly river boating (white water and floating). I also like to travel, take walks, and horse back riding. I was born and raised in Alaska. I really like people, especially students. It’s so fun to hear about others and what makes them tick. I pride myself in being a good listener, and will also ask the hard questions when necessary.

My Advising Philosophy
Your success is my success. I believe that all people, regardless of who they are or how they look, have the right to go to college. My passion is partnering with students to explore their goals and dreams, to discuss barriers and challenges and how to overcome them, and to do thorough and complete educational planning. I strive to be non-judgmental in my approach to partnering with students – my goal is to make you, the student, as comfortable as possible in my presence. I care about you, your success and what that means for the greater good of our society. I may not have all the answers, but I’ve got lots of resources and may even help you discover that the answer lies with you!
