Details about this class
In this class, we will study established writers/filmmakers for techniques, structures, and styles, and respond to each other’s writing in a guided workshop format. We'll spend the first couple weeks analyzing the elements of compelling storytelling in screenwriting for film, and then workshop each other's short film scripts in a supportive workshop environment.
Think of this class as a place for practice and experimentation, but also for real work where we help each other grow as writers, storytellers, and editors. My goal for this term is to emphasize the thought and the labor that goes into developing stories, but also the catharsis of doing something playful and creative.
Technology
There is no additional technology required for this class.
