This 15-hour class focuses on training opportunities at PCC that lead to careers in manufacturing, including training opportunities at the intersection of manufacturing and the trades/construction industry, while building skills for academic and professional success. Each class features a combination of training programs such as Electronic Engineering Technology, Microelectronics Technology, Machine Manufacturing Technology, Apprenticeship & the Trades, Welding Technology, Computer-Aided Design and Drafting, Bioscience Technology, Building Construction, Building Inspection, Civil and Construction Engineering Technology, etc. In this class participants will hear from PCC program staff, industry professionals and local employers, as well as have the opportunity to participate in a manufacturing facilities tour, to make informed decisions about their career and education goals. They receive support enrolling at PCC as a credit student and accessing resources for success.

No prerequisites are required. Students should be interested in pursuing education, whether working towards a GED, ESOL proficiency, or a credit or non-credit training program. It is also recommended that students have basic English skills to comprehend verbal and written classroom content and computer skills proficient for navigating web pages and completing forms.
