College & Career for Immigrant
Designed for immigrants, refugees, and non-native English speakers wanting to explore new careers and get connected with resources that will help them reach their goals. This course aims to build a participant’s confidence in navigating and accessing training and educational opportunities at PCC and increase their sense of belonging at the college. In this class participants will identify their career goal and the training program best suited for them. Students will exit the class with a finished career plan.
No prerequisites are required. Students should be interested in pursuing education, whether working towards a GED, ESOL proficiency, or a credit or non-credit training program. It is also recommended that students have low intermediate to high English skills to comprehend verbal and written classroom content and basic computer knowledge.
