Please sign up for this class only if you can fully commit to attending, as we will be engaging in class notes, group activities, labs, projects, online homework and interactive discussions. I’m looking forward to working with all of you!
Technology
To participate in this course, you’ll need a few things to help you stay organized and connected:

A reliable internet connection for attending office hours on Zoom, accessing materials in D2L, and completing online assignments

The ability to scan written work into PDF format using a scanner or a scanning app

The Desmos online calculator for statistical calculations

A printer may be needed for some homework and graded assignments
We’ll have interactive lab work and group discussions to reinforce what we learn in class. Homework will be completed on the MyOpenMath (MOM) platform. Starting Week 2, proctored quizzes will be taken at the beginning of class and will run about 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the week.
You will also submit a video presentation of your project during finals week.
Please keep in mind that missed labs and group activities cannot be made up. Thank you for understanding, and I’m truly excited to work with all of you this session!
No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class.
