Details about this class
This class will focus on a character design and modeling workflow. We will first gather character concept inspiration, then create Character Model Turnarounds, create high poly models from those turnarounds, re-topologize our high poly models, and then bake our details onto the optimized meshes. We will then use Blender and or Substance Painter to finish our character textures, and if time permits, create simple animations to showcase our finished projects. Part of our goal in this class is to create a character model to use for the Character Rigging and Animation course.
Our Lab component for this course will take place in MAHB 219 on Fridays from 1-3.
