CEU3757 Trauma Informed: A Continuum of Care
Participants will learn the neuroscience behind trauma and how trauma impacts the brain. The course also covers resilience, practical self-care strategies, and valuable resources to enhance current practices in trauma-informed patient care.

Trauma-informed care is an approach to engaging people with histories of trauma that recognizes the presence of trauma symptoms and acknowledges the role that trauma has played in their lives. This is a culture shift in which policies, practices and environments are viewed through the lens of trauma, with a focus of doing no harm and building resilience. The core principles include safety, trustworthiness, choice, collaboration and empowerment.
This course provides information about trauma, brain science, well being, resiliency, self-care, and resources to enhance work with others.
