Details about this class
Hello! My name is Doree, and I am the teacher for this Level 4 Reading class. In this class, we will learn and practice reading strategies, learn new vocabulary, and read a variety of texts. You’ll be reading a lot and learning a lot!
Our required novel and textbook will be made available to you in our D2L course website once the class starts. You do not need to purchase them, but you will need to either download the texts and/or make copies as needed to complete your homework assignments. You can print out the texts in the Computer Lab in the SE Campus Library.
In this class, you will work in pairs and small groups to discuss the readings and practice reading comprehension skills. You will also write about what you’ve read to show comprehension.
We will meet from 6:00 to 7:50 pm every Monday and Wednesday from January 5th to March 18th.
If you have any questions, please email me at doree.dennis@pcc.edu. I look forward to meeting you in person on Monday, January 5th!
