Details about this class
Welcome to Reading 8!
We will have an active classroom, with a lot of opportunities to collaborate, read together in class, and discuss.
Each week, we will read two nonfiction articles and one fiction short story while learning and practicing useful reading strategies. We will also have a lot of interesting discussions and group work in the class to help support your learning. We will use these materials in class:
- Read Faster, Understand More - nonfiction textbook (you can print this out OR buy it from the bookstore OR use the electronic version)
- Short Stories from the Outer Circle - fiction website (use online AND your teacher will provide printouts of the stories)
Have a great winter break and I'll see you in January!
Lara
