Details about this class

I have designed this class to help you improve your writing skills.  You consider writing a difficult process, but do not worry. You will learn how to create a basic essay structure used in academic writing by following easy-to-use strategies. I will teach you how to write an introduction, strong body paragraphs, and a conclusion, but we will also explore grammar areas that enable you to write your essays with more confidence. It would be my honor to help you build that confidence!

Technology

This is an in-person class, but you will need a personal computer to access the Google Docs that you will be using over the course to complete assignments. You will need to submit your work by sharing these documents with me, and I will give you feedback on your work in these documents as well. If you do not have a laptop or a tablet, make sure that you request one from the PCC library.

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class.

Students with disabilities

Students with disabilities should notify their instructor if accommodations are needed to take this class. For information about technologies that help people with disabilities taking Online based classes please visit the Disability Services website.
