Details about this class
You are required to have Microbiology with Diseases by Taxonomy (Bauman) as the lecture textbook. You will have the option to purchase the digital version or the hardbound edition of the textbook through the PCC Rock Creek campus bookstore. It will also be acceptable to purchase new or used copies from other sources. If you decide to buy an older edition, fifth or fourth edition would be acceptable. Third edition is probably too old at this point. Be sure you get the version that has “with diseases by taxonomy” in the title. There are other versions which are different and will not work.
The BI 234 lab manual (RC) will be provided in a digital format free of charge. It is posted on the D2L course page in the lab section of Week 1. A printed copy is available for purchase at the Rock Creek Bookstore.
Lecture exams, lab quizzes and the lab practical will be in person, lecture quizzes will be online.
