Details about this class
This course requires attendance at synchronous in-person class meetings on campus (days and times are indicated in the schedule of classes) as well as studying and practicing outside of class. Attendance at the in-person class meetings is required; class sessions will not be recorded. If you have any questions or concerns in regard to this attendance policy, please contact your instructor.
The time commitment for this course includes the time that you spend in the classroom on-campus (50 minutes per week) plus time spent studying and practicing (about one hour outside of class for each credit hour). This time commitment includes both synchronous work (e.g. class meetings, practice with classmates) and asynchronous work (e.g. studying, homework).
Students are highly recommended to take SPA 203 and SPA 213C simultaneously.
SPA 203 is a four-credit course that meets twice a week for 1hr and 50 min (3 hr 40 min/week). For this section of SPA 213C, you can see in the course notes that students are recommended to register for SPA 203 (CRN 21168), which is taught by the same instructor as this conversation section and starts 30 minutes after this conversation class.
In SPA 213C, you will be working on your listening and speaking skills with classmates, with your instructor’s guidance and support. SPA 203 + SPA 213C is an excellent combination to develop your communicative skills (aural and oral), and communication is the main goal of our SPA program.
