Details about this class
¡Bienvenidos a SPA 101! I very much look forward to meeting you in class. Spanish 101 is a fun, interactive, communicative class. You will work in groups, play games and learn new vocabulary!
Wondering if this is the correct level for you?
This class is designed for beginners who have never taken Spanish before. We will learn the alphabet, numbers, basic greetings, vocabulary for family and classroom topics, simple descriptions using adjectives, and basic verb conjugation to form simple sentences. If you have already studied Spanish for a couple years in High School (or learned it outside of school), then SPA 102 or 103 will likely be a better fit for you. Please don't hesitate to email me with questions about placement: jennifer.hensley@pcc.edu
(Note: If you grew up speaking Spanish at home, consider our Heritage language program! SPA 217, 218, and 219)
