Details about this class
This course will help students better understand their own lives and the society that we all live in. We'll explore issues you've probably already thought about: culture, power, and inequality in terms of race, class, gender and sexuality.
This class will meet twice each week. Every week, prior to class, students will:
- read lots of fascinating things
- write essays some weeks
In our class meetings, we will discuss what we read and its implications for our lives.
We won't have any exams, and students will grade themselves using a participatory grading process.
I feel that this class is fascinating and deeply important. I look forward to learning alongside you!
Sincerely,
Ben
