Details about this class
This is a really interesting and fun class and I look forward to meeting you! While you may have taken a psychology class before, I'm guessing you have not taken one quite like this. This class is really aimed at taking psychological theory and applying it to our lives in an effort to improve our relationships and ability to get along with and understand others. We will spend a lot of time reflecting on how things are working in our lives and looking at ways we can continue to grow.
This class is scheduled to be a completely in person class, with all class meetings on campus. I look forward to getting to see you face to face!
Each week we will have two class meetings. We will utilize this time differently depending on the week, but some of the things that will be included will be lecture, small group activities, small group discussion, deeper explanation on assignments and larger group discussion. Aside from that time, you can expect to have some reading and regular assignments to complete each week. The best news is that there are no tests in this class!
Here is an example of a past syllabus (note: this is from a remote class, but the assignments will be similar) so you can see the types of assignments and general flow of the class. Please reach out to me if you have questions!
