Job Search Strategies
Learn how to create resumes and cover letters that stand out. Develop effective job search strategies, networking skills and interviewing techniques. Basic word processing and access to a computer are required for homework.
The first class focuses on creating resume and cover letter templates, then tailoring them for each job you apply for. At the next class we discuss preparing for interviews. In the last class, you and your classmates conduct mock interviews with each other. Then we discuss effective job search strategies that go beyond applying on job boards and waiting for the phone to ring.
