Details about this class

Please Read:

  • Course content and Zoom class recordings will be available on D2L
  • Class sessions will be conducted via synchronous remote Zoom sessions during the scheduled meeting times
  • Attendance is mandatory for on-campus for lab sessions
  • Students must pass the lab portion of the course in order to receive a passing grade for the course
  • Exams will be given in-person and on-campus NOT online
  • Students will be expected to attend the class Zoom sessions
  • Office hours will be scheduled for remote and in-person sessions

NOTE: This course will be conducted as close to an in-person/on-campus class as possible.

  • Students will be required to have their webcams on during class sessions.
  • To respect student privacy, are encouraged to set their video settings to Blurred Background or us a background image.  Be sure to prepare ahead of time to make sure that you have the appropriate technology and internet bandwidth to meet the Zoom session guidelines.
  • Microphones can be turned off during Zoom sessions but student interaction and engagement is expected
  • Content portions of Zoom sessions will be recorded for student review after class.

Technology

Required:

  • Scientific calculator
  • Functional webcam or phone with Zoom video capability
  • Adequate computer/phone processor speed, as well as internet bandwidth, to have your video ON during Zoom class sessions
  • Access to the internet
  • Google Suite (free to PCC students)
  • Access to Image to pdf application such as Microsoft Lens, Adobe Scan, or CamScanner {for assignments}
  • LoggerPro software (free to students enrolled in this course)

Optional:

  • Discord app (or online Discord account) {a great platform for students to interact online and study together}
  • Microsoft Office {alternative to Google Docs (to complete class assignments in Word documents)}
  • Digital Tablet (or digital writing pad) with DrawboardPdf OneNote or similar application {to complete assignments directly in pdf documents}

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class.
