This 3-hour class focuses on delivering essential information to people who are interested in pursuing training and careers related to manufacturing, including opportunities at the intersection of manufacturing and the trades/construction industry. Each class features select PCC training programs such as Electronic Engineering Technology, Microelectronics Technology, Machine Manufacturing Technology, Apprenticeship & the Trades, Welding Technology, Computer-Aided Design and Drafting, Building Construction, Building Inspection, etc. In this class students learn about the manufacturing industry in Oregon, hear from PCC staff so that they can make informed decisions about their careers and educational goals, and receive support enrolling at PCC as a credit student.

No prerequisites are required. Students should be interested in pursuing education, whether working towards a GED, ESOL proficiency, or a credit or non-credit training program. It is also recommended that students have basic English skills to comprehend verbal and written classroom content and computer skills proficient for navigating web pages and completing forms.
