Details about this class

We meet ONLY once a week on Monday mornings 9:00 - 10:50.

The rest of the week you work on the materials at your own pace.

This is a really fun class for anyone who wants to learn guitar.  We will meet once a week on Monday morning via Zoom the whole class so you get to learn some things in person with me, but also with other students with whom you can make friends and share the learning journey.

This is a second in the sequence beginner class on guitar to learn to play guitar and we will cover learning to read music on the guitar, fingerpicking, chord strumming and some practical theory. You will need to have a guitar for this class.  Classical and some flamenco guitar techniques are taught. The coursework is broken up into weekly modules with weekly quizzes and assignments to help you to learn better.

You will learn more classical pieces and continue to hone your guitar technique.

You will need to have a functioning camera and microphone in order to submit your weekly assignments.

Begins with classical guitar technique, standard notation and finger picking and then moves to tablature, chords and strumming.

Technology

Guitar, camera, microphone and printer (or use your PCC Print credits) are required for this class.

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class.
