Details about this class
This is a new class! So thank you for piloting/building this course with me. Our main goal is to prepare you for MTH 111 (Precalculus).
This class will take a lot of your time because it is a 5-credit class (4 math credits and 1 elective corequisite support course). In a typical week, you can expect to spend:
-
7 hours in class working with the class on math. Time in class will be active. You can expect a lot of group work and time to engage in math.
-
8 hours outside of class doing (preparation assignments, practice assignments, studying, visiting the tutoring center, working with the mentor...)
Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.
Technology
A scientific calculator
A graphing calculator is not required for the course. Instead we will use free app called Desmos for graphing when a graphing utility is appropriate.
No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class.
Students with disabilities
Students with disabilities should notify their instructor if accommodations are needed to take this class. For information about technologies that help people with disabilities taking Online based classes please visit the Disability Services website.
