Details about this class

This is an in person class that will meet each Tuesday and Thursday at the Rock Creek Campus from 10:30 am - 1:20 pm.

The work you do outside of class will involve watching lecture videos that I've created over the current week's content, taking notes, and doing a small amount of "homework" problems. In class, we will tackle harder problems by working together (you, me and your classmates) doing group activities. The last hour of class will be spent finishing up the current week's content by doing an assignment that involves working on these harder problems on your own, but with the support of me and your peers if you need it.

All exams will be in person and taken at the Rock Creek Campus (unless you make other arrangements with me). Exams will take place in week 4, 8 and Final Exams week, during the in person class times.

This is a content heavy class and you should expect to spend many hours outside of class watching the lecture videos, taking notes and practicing.

If you put the time in and come to class prepared, I know you can be successful in learning the content of this class.

Technology

Students should have access to a printer and scanner. In addition, a graphing device/calculator (other than a cell phone) will be needed.

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class.

Students with disabilities

Students with disabilities should notify their instructor if accommodations are needed to take this class. For information about technologies that help people with disabilities taking Online based classes please visit the Disability Services website.
