Details about this class

Proctored Exams: There will be 2 required proctored exams.  These will occur during normal class time in week 6 and during finals week.  You must do this remotely on Zoom. Please see THIS document for technology requirements.  If you choose not to take the exam on zoom, you must take it at a certified testing center (we have one at each PCC campus).

Technology

This is a REMOTE class which occurs on zoom.  In addition to what is required below, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND a good camera and mic so that you can be involved in class.

Part of this class will be group work.  Please be ready to work with other students in small groups on zoom.

You will NEED

-Reliable internet to attend REQUIRED Zoom Class meetings that are at the posted time, access course materials in D2L, and complete online assignments.
-Ability to scan written documents to PDF format using a scanner or scanner phone app
-Ability to upload these scanned PDF assignments to Distance to Learn course page
-A graphing calculator is not required for the course. Instead we will use a free app called Desmos when a graphing utility is appropriate.
-A printer is important, but not absolutely essential.

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class.

Students with disabilities

Students with disabilities should notify their instructor if accommodations are needed to take this class. For information about technologies that help people with disabilities taking Online based classes please visit the Disability Services website.
