Details about this class
You may see MTH 111 referred to as MTH 111Z. MTH 111 and MTH 111Z are the same course.
Important: This math 111 class is In-person with all class meetings occurring at the Sylvania campus. Your physical attendance is required for both class meetings and all exams.
The 111 class structure uses the laboratory model. The first half of the class meeting is used to cover the mathematical topics, and the second half of the class meeting is working in groups on the lab book material.

Technology
- Calculator: on test days, students will need a graphing or scientific calculator. Outside of test times access to graphing and computing technology is expected for doing lab manual work.
- It is recommended for students to have a dedicated class notebook/journal for taking notes and doing lab work.
- We will be using MyOpenMath, a FREE online homework and learning system. The details will be discussed in class.
No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class.
