Details about this class

This is a self paced class that will allow you to learn or relearn certain levels of mathematics. These are the following reasons people take the ALC/ALM.

Students who want to review certain levels  of mathematics before starting on their math sequences

Students who may feel rusty on their math skills but want to enter at a certain level of mathematics. They take it with their math class.

Students who want to increase their knowledge so they test higher for placement.

Students who want to take a certain math class, the following term but want work on it the preceding term. This is in hopes to do well in the actual class. Many students who need As in a certain class, to transfer or get into programs are in this category.

Technology

You are required to come to campus to take this class. We meet in a math lab with a bunch of computers so that myself and my assistant can help answer your questions.

You can take 1 credit or 2 credits.

1 credit is for 1hour and 20 min per day so 2.4 hrs a week. We meet twice a week. Tuesday and Thursday.

2 credits is for 2hrs and 40 min per day so 5.20 hrs a week. we meet twice a week. Tuesday and Thursday.

This is a Pass, No Pass class so you must complete all the hours to pass. There is a slight buffer but in general you must come to class to pass the class.

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class.
