Details about this class

Two Major Projects:

Professional Online Portfolio
for your Multimedia/Video Production work in this class, learning web hosting, domains, and general display of work with UX/UI. We also include bio headshot discussion.

1-2 minute Video Reel
made in Adobe Premiere. This provides a visual, playable montage of your dynamic moving work.

Other Work:

- Building a personal visual brand

- Resume/Cover Letter

- Filler shots/projects to flesh out your portfolio

Technology

You will need to create a portfolio website in this class, either Squarespace (preferred) or Adobe Portfolio (free with a student subscription). You must make your website live, which requires a $12 a month subscription with Squarespace, or utilizing your free Adobe Portfolio site.

I also recommend buying a domain name to make your site more professional (~$20/year). We will make these purchases during class, but please be prepared to make these steps when signing up for the course. If you do not make your website live, you will not receive full points.

You must also have access to Adobe Premiere and other Adobe Suite programs. This comes free with your student status, but you must make sure to download these programs onto a computer that you have access to/can access the student lab.

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class.

Students with disabilities

Students with disabilities should notify their instructor if accommodations are needed to take this class. For information about technologies that help people with disabilities taking Online based classes please visit the Disability Services website.
