Details about this class
In this course, we will explore the fascinating subject of Advanced Video Editing. Our projects will cover a range of areas, including multi-camera editing for live events, workflows for documentary/client videos, creating explainer videos with motion graphics, and producing promotional videos.
This class will be taught in-person and will utilize the PCC D2L website as a hub for instructional information and assignment submissions.
Tuesday's section is our primary class day. Thursdays will be our Lab time. (Some Thursday Lab days will be optional).
Attendance at scheduled class sessions is required. Lecture recordings will be made available as a back-up.
Technology
If Editing at home check the Multimedia Technology specifications page for computer recommendations. Chromebooks or tablets are not recommended.
Required:
- Regular access to a computer, Mac or PC, that can run Adobe 'Premiere Pro' - System requirements for Adobe Premiere Pro
- PCC offers student licenses for the Adobe CC Suite. Please watch your PCC email in the week prior to course start for information about how to access it.
- This class will use PCC's student account of 'Google Drive for Desktop' (this will be set up in Class)
- Recommended: an external hard drive 500+ Gigs
