Course Content Themes

  1. Critical thinking as it pertains to interior design solutions
  2. Analysis of design history from a position of inquiry and diversity.
  3. Distilling design ideas into describable, abstract diagrams.

Course Activities

  1. Basic model building will give students an opportunity to explore spatial composition within interior architectural spaces.
  2. Oral presentation on a design movement and the individuals involved. Design vocabulary will be required to be demonstrated.
  3. Create design solutions that solve for client’s needs in an abstract format.

Class meets via zoom - Class recording will only be provided to students who notify the instructor in advance of their absence. Recordings must be requested ahead of class.
