Details about this class

Hello students!

This class is a fully IN PERSON course on Monday afternoons from 1-350pm. Given that we will meet just once a week and we all benefit from active student engagement, your regular attendance is needed.

The content in this course is so relevant and important to our day to day lives. I'm truly looking forward to our conversations in class as we progress through the topics.

The class is structured to include active learning strategies to engage with the content and regular assessments (quiz/exams and a few assignments) throughout the term. Assessments may be given in person in class OR submitted online (most assignments). Student assignments will ask you to engage with the content, apply it to course concepts, and reflect on the experience.

I will have office hours available to meet with students as desired (online or in-person at Sylvania on Mondays) and am typically available via email M-F. Should you register for this section of HE 250, you can expect to receive an email and a syllabus from me in the couple of days before spring term will begin.

The textbook for this course is:
