Details about this class
Attendance and participation in this fully in-person lab science class is essential for student success. We will explore the physical, chemical, and biological properties of the ocean that really define Earth as the "Blue Planet." Through this, you will also learn why the ocean is central to our understanding of climate change and our environmental future.
I encourage students to bring a laptop or tablet to class, if they have one. This is especially true on lab days (Thursdays this term). We also have a classroom set of laptops that any student can use if they are not able to bring one with them. It is also possible to do technology loans for a quarter through the PCC library. Please reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns before the term begins (sam.pennypacker@pcc.edu).
Technology
There is no additional technology required for this class.
No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class.
