Nothing is needed to do before our first session.

Textbook is NOT required, but is highly recommend, however any edition will be fine.

Beer and Johnson, Mechanics of Materials, 7th Ed., McGraw Hill, 2015. ISBN 9780-073398235

Note: Both hard copy and electronic versions of the text are fine.

 

Our ENGR213 will be Remote this term. We will have Zoom Sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays 1:00-3:20 pm    

In ENGR213, Relationships between stress and strain of deformable solids are studied. Analysis is applied to axially loaded members, circular shafts, beams, and columns. Combined stresses, statically indeterminate systems and properties of structural materials are covered.

 For this course, we will have homework problem sets that students are supposed to do weekly and occasional quizzes throughout the term. Two midterms and final exam as well.
