I am excited to be your teacher! There are 2 books for this class: a textbook, and a novel. Usually, the textbook is less expensive at the bookstore. The novel may be cheaper on Amazon or other websites. The title of the textbook is Reading Explorer 2, 3rd Edition, published by National Geographic. The title of the novel is Orphan Train Rider by Andrea Warren.

This class has scheduled meetings. This means you need to join our Zoom call each class. I will record classes for you to review and study, but it is important to attend class every day.

Because we are studying online, it is easier to study on a tablet or laptop than your phone. Please let me know if you do not have a laptop or tablet. We can explore options for renting one from the college.

Please make sure you have a microphone so you can speak in class. It is also good if you can use a webcam so your classmates can see you.

We will use Google Docs and Slides for assignments in class, and all materials will be on D2L. Please make sure you have access to your PCC email and D2L account so you have access to all the class materials.
