Details about this class
We will be using the same Zoom meeting ID every week that will be listed in the D2L home page.
The Zoom classes will be recorded and the links shared in the course content but be sure to attend as there is attendance, quizzes, and interactive guideance.
We will work primarily through the D2L site so be sure to check often for links and updated course materials.

Technology
Inventor 2024 preferred (or Inventor 2021, 2022, 2023)
First create a student account with your pcc.edu email at: https://www.autodesk.com/education/edu-software/
Then download Inventor from your account home: https://manage.autodesk.com
Do NOT start a 30-Day Trial version. Make sure that the software recognizes your student access. If it does not find a license with your pcc.edu email, let me know and we can investigate further.
System requirements for Autodesk Inventor 2024: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/inventor/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/System-requirements-for-Autodesk-Inventor-2024.html
(If your computer does not meet the requirements it may still run but be slow or have issues. If your computer is not up to the specs you can try to install and see if it runs, but be warned there may be difficulties using the software.)
Please have a microphone and camera or access to a SmartPhone in tandem with your computer to be able to communicate easily through the Zoom Meeting.
You need to use a mouse. Not a laptop trackpad.
Having multiple monitors will improve your productivity. They do not need to be fancy, a cheap one from Goodwill, Craigslist, OfferUp, FBmarketplace, or a thrift shop will suffice. Having the zoom meeting/class resources on one monitor and Inventor on the other is helpful.
No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class.
Students with disabilities
Students with disabilities should notify their instructor if accommodations are needed to take this class. For information about technologies that help people with disabilities taking Online based classes please visit the Disability Services website.
