Details about this class

In CADD 100, students practice effective communication through the exploration of the world of drafting and design. Class assignments include creation of an industry-specific resume or cover letter, industry-appropriate technical reports, and a Bill Of Material table. Students practice industry standards and writing using proper sentence structure, punctuation, and grammar.  

This course meets in person. Multiple concurrent sections of this course may join together for some presentations and/or field trips.

  • This class meets once per week. 
  • Some class sessions involve guest speaker(s) and/or tours of facilities. Such events will occur during class time.
  • Guest speakers may present during class remotely. 
  • At least one field trip will be arranged to occur during class time. Students who are unable to attend may complete an alternate activity.
  • Group work will be conducted during class time.
  • Students may complete alternate in-class group work assignments later if unable to attend class.
  • When possible, lectures, demonstrations and Q&A discussions will be recorded. Group work is not recorded.

Technology

A computer with internet access is necessary for assignments and online course materials.

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class.
