Details about this class
This is an in-person class that can be taken as a fully online course. However, students should make sure to read announcements and watch the lecture video to keep up with any changes in the course.
The in-person sessions meet at Rock Creek campus, Building 7, Room 277 on Tuesdays/Thursdays from 2Pm to 4:50 PM.
The Tuesday session is strictly a lecture session. The lecture portion will also be on Zoom and students can attend via a Zoom session. This zoom session will be recorded. The Thursday session is an open lab. Students can drop in anytime between 2PM and 4:50PM to get help on homework and ask questions. There is no attendance requirement for this course. Both the in-person lecture/lab and the zoom sessions are optional.
Office hours are by private zoom session. There will be a Calendly link to sign up for a date and time to meet.
There is no textbook for this class.
Technology
Computers are available in the Class. Personal computer can be used in class, with internet access.
For you own computer outside of the classroom, the following software should be installed or accessible via internet:
* Word processing software, such as Microsoft word, Google docs or equivalent software (google apps integrates seamlessly with PCC email and is directly connect in D2L).
* Pycharm or IDLE for python programming environment. The student can also use other online python programming environments such as replit.com, onlinegdb.com, etc.
No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class.
