Details about this class

Thank you for considering this course!

Both the lecture and lab for this course will be in-person at the PCC Rock Creek campus. We will meet in person on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00-11:50 am (lecture) and on Thurdays from 12:30-3:20 pm (lab). You must be able to attend both lecture and laboratory components in order to register for the course.

Modified Mastering Chemistry (MMC) is the required online homework website and it is bundled with our textbook. There is a cost-saving option for the textbook/MMC bundle. At the beginning of the term, each student is given a 14-day free trial of MMC, which comes with an electronic copy of the textbook. You can try this and if it works for you, you can pay $44 to continue the course with the MMC & eText combination. If you’d prefer a physical textbook, you can buy it new from the bookstore for $131 and it comes with an access code for the MMC website. (Please note that the physical textbook has to be bought from the PCC Rock Creek bookstore for the access code to work.) You should not pay both $131 and $44. You either pay $44 for MMC & eText or $131 for MMC & physical textbook.

Your instructor will contact enrolled students by email near the beginning of the term with more information on the course. You may contact the instructor at xiaoyan.tang@pcc.edu  for more information.
