Details about this class

Thank you for considering this course!

Both the lecture and lab for this course will be in-person at the PCC Rock Creek campus. We will meet in person on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00-1:50 am (lecture) and on Mondays from 12:30-3:20 pm (lab). You must be able to attend both lecture and laboratory components in order to register for the course.

Three exams (two mid-term and one final exam) will be given during scheduled lecture time. There will also be weekly quizzes.

Modified Mastering Chemistry (MMC) is the required online homework website and it is bundled with our textbook. There is a cost-saving option for the electronic textbook/MMC bundle. At the beginning of the term, each student can sign up for a 14-day free trial of MMC, which comes with an electronic copy of the textbook. You can try this and if it works for you, you can pay $44.37 to continue the course with the MMC & eText combination. Alternately, you can buy an access code from the bookstore for $52.20 for this. I will provide additional information on the first day of class.

Please do not purchase any Modified Mastering Chemistry access codes online (from Amazon or other online sources). These codes will not allow you to register for this PCC CH 104 course.

Your lecture instructor will contact enrolled students by email near the beginning of the term with more information on the course. You may contact me at dawn.vanseggen@pcc.edu for more information.
