Details about this class
We will spend much of our lab time working in the Sylvania Learning Garden, so be prepared to play in the dirt! Groups of up to 4 will design, plant, and tend a garden plot in the SY Learning Garden, for harvest and donation of the produce to the Panther Pantry.
Over the term, we will use a combination of classroom learning, lab experimentation, and hands-on activities to explore the world of organic gardening. Topics will include basic botany, soil science, pollinator ecology, composting, pest management, gardening techniques, and more.
Technology
There is no additional technology required for this class.
