Thank you for your interest in this course! Here are some things you may want to know before signing up:

This course is delivered entirely remotely. This class will have live zoom discussions on T/R. These sessions will be recorded and available for students. While attendance to these zoom discussions are not mandatory, they are strongly encouraged since they allow for live Q&A interaction.

For assessments, this course will include:

  • weekly online homeworks and quizzes
  • three noncumulative exams throughout the term (two midterms and one final exam)
  • weekly online worksheets you will download, complete, and upload 
  • one cumulative final exam

The official textbook is Hole’s Human Anatomy & Physiology (available through the Cascade campus bookstore). However, if you are unable to get the official textbook, other equivalent textbooks (including earlier editions of the current official textbook) may work as replacements or as a supplement (including OER texts). Please note: the weekly assigned readings will be listed based on how Hole’s Human Anatomy & Physiology is organized. If you use a different text, it will be your responsibility to find the relevant topics in the book.

To align with PCC's credit hour guidelines, students should expect to participation in the 5 hours of class time (including either attending or reviewing the recorded lectures), as well as an additional 6-10 hours/week to complete assignments and prepare for quizzes.

Technology

This remote course will require the use of Zoom for meetings. Class meeting attendance is encouraged, and all of the lecture and lab meetings are recorded are posted. You will not be required to utilize the webcam or microphone function, but it is encouraged.

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class.
