Details about this class

Class Meetings

This course meets fully in-person for two weekly lecture meetings and one weekly laboratory meeting.

During lecture, we will discuss the weekly material along with some in-class practice. Lecture slides, study guides, and suggested external videos will be provided on the class website to help guide your review of the material. Assessments will include exams and weekly assignments. Each week, we will also have a laboratory where you will learn lab and microscope skills plus reinforce our lecture material. Weekly lab assessments include a short pre-lab, post-lab, and in-person quiz.

Attendance

Midterms and final exams are in-person and taken during the lecture class. Attendance at non-exam lectures is expected and it is the responsibility of non-attending students to find out what they have missed.

BI 112 laboratory attendance is required and students who are absent for more than two labs will automatically fail the class.
