COURSE STRUCTURE

This is an internship where students will find a job that qualifies and then complete paperwork for approval before registering. Students must complete 30 hours of work on the job for every credit hour earned.

OTHER INFORMATION: 

Students enrolled in this course will apply the skills developed in their coursework in an organization.  Before being allowed to enroll in this course, students will develop specific learning objectives for their fieldwork that the faculty mentor, the jobs and internships coordinator, and the on-site supervisor approve.  Students will submit a bi-weekly report detailing their progress toward their objectives and their experiences on the job. 

A midterm checkpoint conference with the faculty mentor is required.  Upon completing the learning objectives, the faculty mentor will meet with the on-site supervisor to discuss student performance and fulfillment.

Students must upload a bi-weekly update using a template in Microsoft Word.
