Details about this class
Students are not required to be proficient in American Sign Language or even know how to sign at all. This course is open for anyone to register and there will be two interpreters for every class. Logistics will be covered during the first week of class.
Technology
This is a remote class. Students should be comfortable with basic D2L and Zoom navigation. Students need to have accessible and reliable high-speed Internet and a laptop or computer to complete their coursework on D2L and use Zoom.
Students need to be able to screenshare, turn on/off the captions, mute/unmute, type in comments/share links in the Zoom chat, understand how to select the Gallery view option, and know how to join breakout rooms for partner/group activities on Zoom.
No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class.
