Details about this class
In this course students will be exposed to the basic theory of drawing such as perspective, line, value, and composition. The primary goal for this course is to develop technical skill through observational drawing. From the process of life drawing, students will explore their visual expression via mark making, line quality, value and composition. A variety of drawing media and papers will be introduced. With better understanding of the materials and techniques, students can then use these skills to convey their ideas. In addition to the technical drawing abilities, students are expected to learn the vocabulary specific to this field, which will help them express constructive criticism for their work and others.
