Details about this class

No experience necessary.

Learn basic drawing skills including gesture and proportion, value and shading, space and perspective. We will use a range of materials including charcoal, graphite, ink, and collage. Students will work on a variety of subjects including still lifes, photographs, and the drawings of other artists from a range of eras and cultures. 

 

 

 

Technology

This class meets in-person, face-to-face, so the technological requirements are minimal.

Some course content will be delivered through email and/or D2L as needed.

All Materials needed for the class are available as a kit from the bookstore at the Rock Creek campus except the 24 count nupastels by Prismacolor which you need to buy separately or you can use supplies you already have and add as you go

There is a kit available for purchase in the Rock Creek Bookstore.

 

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class.
